  PARTS AND ACCESSORIES LIMITED WARRANTY
 
What Is Covered
Daewoo Motor America (DMA) warrants that all Genuine Daewoo Parts and Accessories shall be free from defects in workmanship and material.
Parts and accessories purchased through DMA's internet site that are proven to be defective, shall be exchanged at no charge to the customer. Labor charges to remove and replace defective part(s) in question, are NOT covered by this limited warranty.
 
Warranty Period
The warranty coverage for Genuine Daewoo Parts and Accessories is twelve (12) months from the original date of purchase and not from the date the part was installed verified by the customer's receipt.
 
Exchange Process
Parts that are claimed to be defective that were purchased from DMA's internet site must be reviewed with the Daewoo Customer Assistance Center by calling toll free (877) 362-1234, select option 6. The Customer Assistance Center will issue a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number when appropriate. Customer will be sent (via e-mail attachment) a Return Authorization Form to complete and to include the RMA Number. Customer should send the part(s) in question, freight prepaid, along with a completed copy of the Return Authorization Form and a legible copy of the customer's receipt to:

Once the part(s) are verified as defective, DMA will ship a replacement part to the customer.
 
What Is Not Covered
Damage or Failure Due to Accident, Misuse or Alteration
Damage or failure resulting from the following is not covered by this warranty. For example:
  • Accidents, collision, theft, fire, freezing (or any other severe weather condition).
  • Misuse of the vehicle such as driving over curbs, overloading, racing, rallies or other competitive events.
  • Alteration, modification or improper repair.
  • Installation of non-Daewoo approved accessories or components
  • Improper installation of any Daewoo approved after-market accessory or components.
  • Glass breakage except for damage resulting from a defect in material or workmanship.
Damages or Corrosion Due to Environment or Use
Damage or corrosion resulting from the following is not covered by this warranty. For example:
  • Damage or surface corrosion resulting from environment such as industrial, chemical or other airborne fallout, tree sap, salt, windstorm, hail, water or flood, lightning, earthquake or other environmental conditions.
  • Cosmetic or surface corrosion resulting from stone chips or scratches in paint.
Damage or Failure Due to Improper Maintenance
Any damage or failure resulting from improper maintenance such as the following is not covered by this warranty. Some examples are:
  • Use of fuels not recommended in the Owner's Manual or improper oils or fluids.
  • Failing to perform the required scheduled maintenance.
  • Handling and operation of the vehicle contrary to the instructions described in the Owner's Manual.
Maintenance Service and Normal Wear
Routine maintenance service and normal wear such as the following is not covered by this warranty. For example:
  • Engine tune-up
  • Cleaning and polishing
  • Oils, lubricants, fluids
  • Filters
  • Wiper blades
  • Clutch linings
  • Brake linings and pads
  • Tire rotation
  • Wheel alignment and balancing
  • Headlight aiming
Normal Deterioration
The warranty does not cover normal deterioration of paint, trim and appearance items due to use and exposure.
Incidental Expense
Incidental expense such as the following are not covered by this warranty
  • Communication expenses, such as telephone calls
  • Vehicle rental charges
  • Travel, lodging or meal expenses
  • Time, business and commercial loss
  • Compensation for inconvenience
  • Damage to other parts
